This project began in October 21, 2001.  As of May 23rd 2010, it is 90% complete and as many who have built an aircraft before 90% remains to be accomplished.

Depending on how well this aircraft flies - a  construction manual will be available when flight testing is accomplished.  In the mean time take a look at the progress pages and consider building your own.

This along with many plans built aircraft is a challenging project - but it is not rocket science.  Anyone with the ability to work with hand tools and learn new skills could complete a project like this - but the real question is - do you have the time, $ and commitment (support of your family) ?

As you view the pages of this website you may wonder why is it taking so long?  The answers is - other commitments.  Currently support of the builders of the Personal Cruiser and Vision aircraft take up much of the time typically devoted to Freedom.  However, each spring as the weather begins to warm up - a little more progress is accomplished on the Freedom and the dream becomes a little closer to reality.
